As I have just spent the past month applying four coats of paint in 7 rooms and moving my apartment and studio, my body is feeling rather twisted and out of sorts. I even managed to bruise my inner elbows carrying Pilates equipment (mostly wood and heavy metal springs) three blocks from the old studio to the new one… I can just imagine what my spine went through!
Major Pilates and Body Rolling sessions are now underway to undo the damages, and to add an extra perk I have signed up for a 30-day hot yoga challenge that starts April 15th. A lot of studios are offer similar challenges all over the world, so you may want to look into your area to see if there’s one for you, and let me know how it goes!
I will not journal my daily experiences but hope to have an interesting photo montage when the challenge is over, demonstrating a difference (I hope) between my post-move scoliotic spine and my post-challenge spine. Not to mention my worn-out dancer’s knees and osteo-arthritic hip have been acting up, so it’s a nice chance for me to put all my modalities to the test!
